John "Jack" Elwyn Evans (1897 – 15 July 1941 (aged 43–44)) was born in Brynamman, and was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s. At representative level he played rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Brynamman RFC, Amman United RFC, Swansea RFC and Llanelli RFC,[1] playing at Centre, i.e. number 12 or 13, and at club level played rugby league (RL) for Broughton Rangers.[2] He died in Denbigh.
Jack Evans won a cap for Wales (RU) while at Llanelli RFC in 1924 against Scotland.[3]
